Knox Christian School is blessed to be supported by members of the society. The society’s name is Bowmanville District Christian School Society (BDCSS).
Membership in BDCSS is a separate process than enrolment; therefore, a person may be a member of BDCSS but not send children to the school. The reverse is also true–a person may send children to the school, but not be a member of the society.
We encourage all people to become members of the BDCSS. If a person applies for BDCSS membership, that person must attend be interviewed by a member so the Board of Directors and the Development Committee and be approved by the Board of Directors.
The following criteria must be met in order to apply for membership:
1. have read and am/are in full agreement with the confessional basis of the school society as outlined in the Articles of the Constitution.
2. claim Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of my/our life.
3. agree to pay the annual membership fee as adopted by the membership of Bowmanville District Christian School society (included in tuition fees).
4. will accept full liability for annual cost for my child(ren) or legal dependant(s) attending Knox Christian School and/or Durham Christian High School.
A person who is accepted into membership gains the following privileges:
1. You have the right to vote on any matter presented to the membership at an appropriately called membership meeting.
2. You have the right to serve as a full member on the Board of Directors or any of its committees.
