Our Purpose
To provide a Biblically-based pre-school program that acts as an introduction to structured educational activities. This program works as a gradual transition into full-time public, private, or Christian schooling. It serves families and reaches out into the community.
Our Philosophy
Bowmanville Christian Pre-School is an enriched Christian program, providing a warm and caring atmosphere where children may choose to participate in child and adult-directed activities in order to promote healthy, overall development.
Through play experiences, the guidance of qualified staff, and careful program planning, the children will be exposed to situations at their level of development that will stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth.
Our Goals
To encourage your child:
• to learn a Christian view about his/her world and God who made it.

• to build a feeling of self-confidence and competence.
• to broaden their vocabulary and develop skills in communication.

Our Program
The curriculum of Bowmanville Christian Pre-School consists of weekly themes and ongoing skill development, based on the needs and abilities of each child.
The following learning centres are set up daily to invite the children to come, see, do, and learn. They allow the children to make choices and move freely and independently.

Our Staff
Every staff member at Bowmanville Christian Pre-School is trained and qualified to meet the needs of the children enrolled in our programs.
• All staff, volunteers, and students who have direct contact with the children are required to have a current criminal reference check.
• Staff are trained in CPR and first aid techniques to help ensure a safe, caring environment in which your child can play, learn, and grow.
• As a Christian pre-school, our dedicated staff are committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
• Bowmanville Christian Pre-School is licensed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services. It is operated by the Bowmanville District Christian School Society.
Our Hours of Operation
Bowmanville Christian Pre-School strives to meet the needs of families across Durham by providing the following children’s programs from September to June.
Nursery School: 2 days (Tues./Thurs.)
3 days (Mon./Wed./Fri.)
9:00 -11:30 am or 1:00 - 3:30 pm
Kindergarten Enrichment: Mon. - Fri.
8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Before/After School Care: Mon. - Fri.
7:00 - 8:30 am or 3:30 - 6:00 pm
Fee Structure (as of January 2009)
Nursery School: 2 days/week $100/month
3 days/week $150/month
Kindergarten Enrichment: Daily $20/day
Before/After School Daily $5/hour
