Tuition Reduction Incentive Plan

What is T.R.I.P?

The acronym stands for Tution Reduction Incentive Program.  This program allows families at Knox Christian school and Durham Christian High School to reduce the cost of education.

This is accomplished by having themselves, their friends and family, and the broader community purchase gift cards from major retailers and stores for every day needs. (Examples would include gas, grocery, hardware stores, movie theatres, clothing stores, and much more - call the school to inquire.) Each company in turn gives the school a percentage of the total spent. For example, a grocery store like Loblaws (which includes No Frills, Superstore, and Zehrs) will give the school 5% of the total amount spent.

Each family in turn, will get 40% of the percentage given. A record is kept of what the family spends on a yearly basis and in the fall, they will receive a reduction check applicable to their tuition. If they choose to, they can direct the money toward a family in need or simply support the school.

How to order?

An order form is sent home every week with the Knox News. Simply complete the form and a cheque or use our debit machine in the office. A standing order may be made as well. On Friday your order will be sent home with your child or may be picked up by yourself.

Why use the program?

Fundraising efforts through this program will reduce the cost of tuition. The program can be used by anyone and it benefits everyone.
