Knox Christian School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Student Support Teacher (SERT) to join our team for a maternity leave position, expected to begin at the end of March 2025 and extend through to the end of the school year in June 2025. There may be the possibility of extending the position through the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement accommodations and interventions
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with parents and other educational staff to ensure the success of students
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
Qualifications:
• A committed Christian who values the integration of faith and learning
• Ontario College of Teachers Certification (or equivalent)
• SERT certification and experience are an asset
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for working with students and a heart for Christian education
A period of overlap and training will be provided.

Knox Christian School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and nurturing Junior Kindergarten Teacher to fill a leave of absence position, expected to begin at the end of March 2025 and extend through to the end of the school year in June 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for Junior Kindergarten students
• Foster a positive, caring, and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and growth
• Provide individualized attention to meet the needs of each student
• Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to ensure the best learning outcomes
• Integrate Christian values into the teaching and learning experience
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and development
Qualifications:
• A committed Christian who understands and supports the mission of a Christian school
• Ontario College of Teachers Certification (or equivalent)
• Experience teaching early childhood education is an asset
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Passion for nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and academic development of young children
