SCHOOL TRANSPORTATIONKnox Christian School offers bus transportation to students across the Clarington region. We transport 85% of our students to school via bus. Our bus services are provided by Century Transportation, located in Whitby.
Transportation is included in the Tuition fee with families who are utilizing the service paying an extra anuual committment surcharge of $350. |

What happens if there is a snow day? |
Knox generally stays open when buses do not run. We communicate this information in many different ways. Families can visit the Knox website to be advised of school and/or transportation cancellations in the event of inclement weather. The news will also be broadcast on local radio stations.

When will I receive the bus stop information for my family? |
Bus route information is distributed annually by the Knox office one week prior to the first day of school. The route will include your stop location, morning pickup and afternoon drop off times, bus company contact information.

Who do we contact if there is an issue with our bus stop? |
If you would like to discuss the assigned bus pickup location, please contact the school office. We will do our best to alleviate any concerns you may have.

Who makes the bus routes? |
We use a third party company called Bus Planner. They design the routes according to our specifications

Who manages student behaviour on the bus? |
The Knox Principal is responsible for student behaviour while on the bus. If any issues arise, the bus driver is directed to deal with the situation in a calm and thoughtful manner until the matter can be brought to the attention of the principal. If you have a concern about bus behaviour, please contact the principal at any time.
