STUDENT QUESTIONS
Do you have a dress code?
Yes, we do. The dress code is based on Christian standards of modesty and neatness. This policy is enforced by the Principal and approved by the Board of Directors.
Do students participate in standardized testing?
At Knox we measure student academic progress regularly through our MAP testing program. This is a computerized system that precisely measures student progress and growth in all areas including reading, language usage, and mathematics. It is used each year to inform our staff, measure student growth, and evaluate our programs. For more, see our vision for learning in Our Learning Flow under the Future Students dropdown menu.
Where does the school curriculum come from?
Our curriculum meets the Ministry of Education guidelines and is written from a Christian perspective. Therefore, every subject acknowledges God as the centre of the creation. The school’s program is designed to complement the work of each Christian home and each Christian church.
How is conflict handled?
When things go wrong, we strive to seek forgiveness and reconciliation. It is our perspective that we must extend grace as the Lord has extended grace to us. We also want to ensure that each situation is an opportunity for growth and development.
